The electronic register of the Biblioteca Nacional allows the submission of applications, documents and communications 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
The submission date and time appears on the receipt confirming submission.
Official Spanish time
Royal Decree 1308/1992, of 23 October, designates the Laboratory of the Royal Naval Institute and Observatory as the depository laboratory of the National Time Standard and the Biblioteca Nacional de España uses the “Universal Time Co-ordinate” scale maintained by the Royal Naval Institute Observatory Laboratory as the legal time on which all its systems are based.
Remember, Spanish time is GMT+1 (or UTC+1) and that provided by the Spanish Royal Naval Institute and Observatory is GMT (or UTC).

Electronic register deadlines are based on the official Spanish date and time on the Mainland, Ceuta, Melilla and the Balearic Islands.
The calendar of non-working days is that established in the annual resolution published in the Official State Gazette for the whole national territory by the Ministry of the Presidency.
